Trevélez ham blue label 17 months
This Serrano ham from Trevélez has a blue label, as it is cured for a minimum of 20 months in Juviles, Sierra Nevada, and is protected under the Protected Geographical Indication Jamón de Trevélez.
Like all PGI-certified hams, it is cured 100% naturally and is obtained from Landrace, Large-White and Duroc-Jersey pigs, or their corresponding crossbreeds. The pigs from which this ham is obtained are fed with vegetable feed.
Fatty and soft meat is selected, and this Aromas de Sierra Nevada ham comes from female white pigs, for maximum quality. Only sea salt is used, without preservatives or nitrifying agents, and the special climatic conditions of the Alpujarra area do the rest.
This ham is not only a unique product, but also a piece of history and tradition, as it was customary for the Royal House to stock up on the best artisan products, including this ham.
