Trevélez hams are well known in the town of Trevélez, although the producers that make up the Protected Geographical Indication of Trevélez are in other towns such as Juviles or Portugos.
Trevélez ham is made with the highest quality ham and sea salt, and is cured in an area with a very particular microclimate with an artisan drying and curing process using traditional methods. The result is a balanced ham, low in salt, with great flavor and aroma.
